Welcome to Show #24 of Glenns Lost Classics. This show is going to be a tribute to Robert Plant and Led Zeppelin in honor of Robert's birthday on Aug 20th. I will also be doing some songs from other artists that have birthdays in August. This show will include Jerry Garcia from the Grateful Dead, Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull, Garth Hudson bass player for The Band, Dennis Elliott the Drummer for Foreigner, David Crosby who was with the Byrds and then with Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. There are also quite a few hard rock and heavy metal birthdays in August, and we are going to hear Bos Burrell the Bass player from Bad Company, and Deep Purple has two birthdays, bass player and lead vocalist Glenn Hughes, and their other lead vocalist Ian Gillan, we’ll also hear Gene Simmons with Kiss, Rudolf Shenker with The Scorpions, and Steve Gorman the drummer for the Black Crowes.
